We work from Monday till Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

When entering our drug rehab centers, clients feel a variety of emotions, ranging from fear to relief, and almost always accompanied by a sense of uncertainty. Addiction is a sinister disease that is difficulty to manage, especially since our clients sometimes do not realize or accept the fact that they need help until the disease has progressed. We are aware of this state of mind and have designed our treatment approach around this.

As such, at our initial encounter with our clients, we aim to ease this discomfort and assure them of their safety at the drug rehab facility. Our professional staff meet individually with each new client and listen to any concerns they may have. Through different modalities and one-on-one meetings, we replace initial feelings of confusion, disorientation and possible defensiveness with a sense of hope. We welcome all of our clients, regardless of their individual situations, and emphasize that this is a place where they can get help.

In this environment, our clients become willing to honestly discuss their past history, feelings, and behaviors. Our addiction recovery programs center on finding the root of each client's problem. Our staff help them identify the particular issues that contributed to their addiction because these problems can lead to potential relapse. This approach is most effective when our clients speak frankly about their lives with both trained counselors and their peers in the addiction recovery center.

In this way, we strive to create a therapeutic community where our clients provide support to each other. This gives new and struggling clients with the extra help they need to acclimate to the addiction treatment facility while also showing other clients that they can use their experiences to help others. Often, addiction leads to isolation, and many of our clients have difficulty opening up to and trusting others because of their disease. The community within the addiction treatment center helps our clients form bonds that they can continue to develop and also provides them with skills needed to form new relationships and support networks when they return home.

As our staff become more familiar with each client, they carefully examine behaviors and thinking patterns, looking for signs of mental health issues. Many times, a substance abuse problem can co-occur alongside mental health concerns that need to be addressed. In these cases, our professionals develop a dual diagnosis treatment plan that includes individual treatment modalities for the addiction and for the mental health problems. Long-term recovery depends on complete and effective treatment of each diagnosis.

Even if dual diagnosis mental health treatment is not required, our staff look at each client individually to determine the specific issues that need be addressed. Soon after admission to the substance abuse treatment facility, we design an individualized treatment plan outlining some distinct problem areas and treatment goals for the client. This is formulated from discussions with the client and observations of the client's interactions in the addition recovery facility. As mentioned above, sometimes this includes treating a co-occurring mental health issue. Other times, it involves a period of supervised drug detox before beginning the treatment.

Some of our clients enter the addiction recovery facility still physically dependent on a substance. It can be dangerous to stop usage abruptly because, after prolonged usage, the body adapts to continually having the substance available and suffers withdrawal when it is no longer there. A drug detox clinic is essential in these cases so that the client can be properly monitored and evaluated to prevent long-term complications.

Regardless of a client's particular circumstances, Insights Behavioral Health, our addiction recovery program in Miami, Florida, provides our clients with the tools they need to maintain long-term sobriety. From detox to evaluation to treatment, our staff work to design and implement a plan best suited to each client's needs. We also offer aftercare programs to provide our clients continued support once they leave the treatment facility.
